The Piqua Shawnee tribe are an Algonquian-speaking that is indigenous to the north America. The native Americans during the colonial times became a semi-migratory nation. Primarily, they occupied the areas of Ohio valley which extends to Ohio and Kentucky to the east that leads to the west Virginia , Virginia, western Maryland and Pennsylvania which leads to south Alabama and south of Carolina and west Indiana and Illinois to the united states.
The Shawnee were pushed west by the European-American pressure which made them move to Missouri and Kansas while others were removed to Oklahoma the Indian territory and driven west of the Mississippi river in the 1830s.
There were some that didn’t remove to the Oklahoma because the civil war was taking part in history. The federal recognized Shawnee tribes are three up to date this are; eastern Shawnee tribe of Oklahoma, absentee-Shawnee tribe of Oklahoma and Shawnee tribe despite it being made up of different historical and kingship groups.

Their government was called Sachema because it was ruled by kings and that succession was how to take reign and it was to be from the mothers side. Take this as an example, if the king has children or not the mantle will still go to his brother or the sons of his sister, because no woman is allowed to inherit.
